When will the Billboard Music Awards 2020 take place?

The prestigious award show was supposed to happen on the 29th of April. They were postponed for security reasons because of the coronavirus outbreak. A new date has now been set for the ceremony. Keep reading to find out more!

  • Billboard Music Award is an honor given to chart-topping artists.
  • They are held every year since they started back in 1990 by the Dick Clarke Production. 
  • However, there was a break between 2007-2010 but they resumed again in 2011.

The 27th BBMA ceremony will be held on 14 October 2020. It will take place at the Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas. They might be different this time as they are being held amid a pandemic. We wonder what safety precautions the management will take to minimize human interaction.

Drake bagged all the awards at Billboard 2019

Last year the singer, Drake broke Taylor swifts record of the most awarded artist with 27 total wins. The rapper, Cardi B also had a magnificent evening as she took home 6 awards. Fans wonder if Tay will be able to steal her spot back or a new artist will emerge on top.

BTS, the K-pop band has made it to the top of the ‘Billboard Hot 100’. The boys have smashed all records with their first hit English single ‘Dynamite’. Armies or the BTS fans are excited to see if the seven member group will be gracing the stage this years as well.

The ceremony last year was a massive success with great performances including Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers, Madonna, Ariana Grande and BTS. Who do you think should perform this year? 

Well, the fans are rooting for the Korean band, BlackPink and Selena Gomez to set the stage on fire with their hit single ‘Ice Cream’. Looks like K-pop sensation is taking over the American award shows.
