Years after its release, we discovered the secret meaning behind this amazing song. Justin Timberlake wrote his famous hit 'Cry me a river' which dropped in 2002. In 2018, Britney Spears' ex-boyfriend revealed he wrote the song in just two hours after their breakup. Curious to know all the details and how the pop star felt?  The two lovebirds met in the 90s when they were both part of the 'Mickey Mouse Club'. However, the young artists started dating in 1999 and their relationship was in the very spotlight. Absolutely every paparazzo and magazine wanted to take a photo of them or their words. After just two years being the perfect couple the two of them broke up.

The singer revealed in 2018 in his autobiography 'Hindsight' he wrote his hit in just two hours after their troublesome separation. In the music video, there appeared a woman who is very similar to his then-former girlfriend. What sounded the alarm was that it was also about an unfaithful girl. Was it Britney? Well, surely! Timberlake was very moved by the situation so putting those feelings into words for his song was fantastic. He even went public explaining he had opened up himself.

'I translated my feelings into a form where people could listen and hopefully relate to it. People heard me and they understood it because we’ve all been there'.

Who is Wade Robson?

Britney's choreographer was allegedly the third person in that relationship. I wrote 'allegedly' on purpose simply because Justin is such a dear he promised his former girlfriend he was never going to reveal the real reason why they split up. However, that was half true. Yes, the singer never said the truth about their break up. But, releasing the song like 'Cry me a river' after their split is almost the same as telling the real reason. We can all assure it was because the blonde hitmaker was seeing Robson as everybody knows, but that has never come out from their mouths.

Britney's opinion

The blonde star told our source Justin said she was going to be on his new video before its actual release. As for her, it was just a press move. Timberlake wanted to drop a song which would boost every record sale. Britney said

'I think it looks like such a desperate attempt, personally. But that was a great way to sell the record. He’s smart'.

Justin is married to Jessica Biel, and they have a son together, Silas Randall Timberlake. Britney got married three times, and she had two sons Sean and Jayden with Kevin Federline. The Grammy Award winner is now dating model and personal trainer, Sam Asghari. However, I'm sure their love was so, so deep back in 2000 that they will get together again probably in ten or twenty years. They were such a great couple everybody would love to see them together once more. Let's watch the YouTube video of the song to refresh our memory!
