Fans were surprised when Miley Cyrus announced the release of her new music video on Instagram. It came as a surprise to all of us since there was no promotion leading up to its release on March 8th 2021.
The singer is wearing her 'Super Bowl TikTok Tailgate' look- the same outfit, same makeup, and even the same hair! It's safe to say the music video was probably shot on February 7th 2021. TikTok Tailgate was a pre-Super Bowl event held to honor healthcare workers, making the audience a crowd of 7500 vaccinated health professionals. The singer showed her excitement about it on social media:
'I’ll be there for TIKTOK TAILGATE! I can’t wait to put on a show for the NFL’s honored guests before the game… Health care workers from Tampa and around the country!'
Miley captioned her Instagram post as:
'Angels Like You music video filmed at the first Covid compliant concert of its size since the pandemic is out now'
According to a fan, the reason why the music video was shot at a concert and seemed low-budget was because she was still signed to her old label, RCA records when it was shot. Thank goodness she's with a new label now! Click here to read more about it.
Despite the basic video, she received immense support from her fans for her incredible voice and stunning visuals. Miley doesn't need a high budget to win the hearts of fans- her voice is enough. The meaning behind remind us to all the people the world has lost over the pandemic. Empty seats, no public events, and budget cuts affected the music and culture industry terribly. The empty seats were for all the "angels" that we lost and those who are taking care of us.
Miley reminded us that there is hope in the humanity, with "angels" that took care of us, such as doctors, nurses and scientific researchers looking for a solution. A beautiful song for beautiful people.
