The incredible beginnings of Megan Thee Stallion

The Houston-based rapper gained popularity in such a short time, all thanks to social media. We have read a lot about her successful songs and her music challenges trending on social media but a lot of you wonder where it all started? So let’s get into it and see how Megan began her singing career and when did she get noticed for the first time.

  • Megan Thee Stallion is a Houston-born singer, rapper, and songwriter.
  • She has about 19 million followers on Instagram.
  • The rapper has a net worth of 3 million dollars, which is a lot considering her time in the industry.

The Savage singer rose to fame in 2018 after she released her single ‘Big Ole Freak’ but how did she manage to get noticed before that?

Megan used social media as a tool to gain attention. She used to upload freestyle on Instagram, which has now been deleted, however they brought a lot of attention to the rapper.

Prior to that, Megan appeared in a Houston based project called The Houston Cypher that featured multiple rappers from different areas of the city.
It was then when Stallion stole the limelight and as explained by MTV News her confident delivery of the verses gained her much attention. The ‘Savage’ rapper was the only female among a dozen other male rappers.

As I have watched the video myself, it’s safe to say that Megan did outshine everyone else. Her minimalist yet extremely smooth delivery of lyrics with the most appropriate body language hooked us up.
The opportunity came as her friend suggested Megan to come along on a Cypher. Though the WAP singer disagreed at first, but upon insistence from her homie, Megan went with her.

The rapper has since released a lot of music. Her collaboration with Beyonce and then with Cardi B got her massive attention. TikTok has also played a major role in getting her the attention she deserved. Now Megan has joined the gang of A-list female rappers and every passing day she comes up with an even better song that we can’t stop listening to.
