Selena Gomez introduces her own make-up line, ‘Rare Beauty’

The American singer has gained massive popularity in the music industry. She’s now ready to make her mark in the beauty world. Her goal for her make-up brand is to make it feel like home for everyone. “Rare beauty isn’t about how other people see you. It’s about how you see yourself,” said Gomez. Read below to find out more!

• The brand is named after Sel’s music album, ‘Rare’.
• All products are available in all Sephora outlets and Rare Beauty’s online store.
• Selly is ready to increase her net worth of $75 million from her new venture.

Gomez launched her make-up line on 3rd September, 2020. It is aimed at setting non-idealistic standards of perfection in society. The singer wants to make people feel comfortable in their own skin without hiding what makes them unique. Her first collection contains 48 shades of foundation! The wide-ranged collection is an attempt to promote the beauty of every color. Is this just a marketing strategy for the star or does she really promote diversity?

Selly recently collaborated with the K-pop band, ‘Blackpink’ and shared her excitement for working with them. We believe that her brand and music both reflect her attempt to build a more inclusive society.

Selena is a beauty queen

Selena shared many pictures on Instagram stating how excited she is for this new step in her life. The appreciation she received from her followers was beyond incredible. She used some products from her line to create looks and shared them on social media, before the launch date. The ‘Look at her now’ singer’s beauty page has gained over 1.6 million followers in just seven months. Sel posted a story after the launch of her beauty-line, thanking the people for being patient and asking them to try out her products.

In the current era of social media, many people can feel overwhelmed by the standard beauties they see online. Thus, with globalization on the rise, it is important to have brands which encourage people to embrace their true self. We’re thankful to celebrities like Rihanna and Gomez for coming up with their own make-up lines, which cater to the needs of people from all ethnicities.
