The boy band, also known as SJ or SuJu, came into the light way back in 2005. They are one of the first most successful K-Pop bands who gained popularity not just in Asia but all over the world. To know more interesting things about the group, keep reading the post!
The group's multiple spin-offs
The band that consists of 13 members since 2005 has had a lot of sub-groups made including Super Junior K.R.Y that had the three vocalists Kyuhyun, Yesung, and Ryeowook. Other than that, Super Junior Trot, Super Junior Mandarin, Super Junior Happy, and Super Junior D&E (Donghae and Eunhyuk) are some of the same band branches that were formed by combining different members of the group.
Boost of their careers
What made their career skyrocket was their most successful release, ‘Sorry Sorry’ in 2009. It was then when the band was globally recognized. The group earned more than 35 awards globally, including 2 Teen Choice Awards for Best International Artist and Best Fandom in 2015.
Why these members left the group
Well, anything that forms has to deform. That’s a basic rule of sociology, so it's definite that the group which initially formed with thirteen members was not destined to be like that forever. The band that earned so much recognition across the globe was scattered when Han Geng left the group for its ill contract terms in 2011. Later on, Kibum left since his contract had ended, while Kangin also said farewell to the band in 2019.
There are now officially 9 members who are active while Sungmin is taking a break since 2015. It might not be obvious on social media but they have as much of a fan following as BTS or any ther famous K-Pop band!
