  • The very first edition of the awards was in May 1990. Almost 30 years ago!
  • The event on yesterday's evening included the performers Alicia Keys, John Legend, Post Malone, Bad Bunny, Brandy, Ty Dolla $ign, and Doja Cat, among others.
  • Post Malone was the winner of the 'Top Artist' category, and Billie Eilish asked all of us to care about health.

The singer of 'bad guy' appeared with a green floral face mask in the scenery to receive her two awards of the night. She really seems to care about health!

When she went on stage to receive the 'Top Female Artist' award, she told all the viewers to vote and be safe.  "Please vote, please wear a mask, please wash your hands, be safe, and take care." said the artist in her speech.

2. Lizzo's Powerful Speech

The musician wore a black dress with the word 'Vote' in white all over it. She talked about the importance of voting as Billie did but also about the repression.

"I've been thinking a lot of about suppression and the voices that refuse to be suppressed," she said, and also encouraged people to refuse repression.

"Whether it's through music, protest, or your right to vote, use your power, use your voice, and refuse to be suppressed." said the artist to conclude her speech. She definitely knows about how to empower people.

3. John Legend dedicated "Never Break" to his wife

The singer performed his heartwarming song 'Never Break,' but before starting to sing, he said: "This is for Chrissy," his wife, who recently lost a baby that couldn't meet the world.

The song has phrases like "We will never break, as the water rises and the mountains shake, our love will remain." Definitely, dedicating the song to Chrissy was an enormous and true gesture of love.

The Covid-19 situation and other strange things are happening this year in our world. Despite this, it's important to highlight good things that are happening, like the concern of young people about voting and taking care of ourselves.
