BBMA: Post Malone's rousing speech after winning Top Artist

The artist melts everyone's heart with his gratitude for winning the biggest prize of the night. Post Malone received 16 nominations last night at the Billboard Music Award, and he left some incredible artists behind in the most important category. Go to read his hearty words below!

  • The rapper is just 25 years old. He was born on July 5, 1995, in Syracuse, New York.
  • Austin Richard Post, a.k.a. Post Malone, has a net worth of $14 million. Not bad for being so young!
  • At the Billboard Music Awards 2020, he received 16 nominations in 15 categories.

Last night at the BMA, the musician was near to break his record of 17 nominations in 2019. Some categories in which he was mentioned this year were: top male artist, top rap artist, top rap male artist, and top rap album for Hollywood's Bleeding.

Hollywood's Bleeding is his last album, released in September 2019, featuring his hits 'Circles', 'Wow,' and 'Goodbyes.' Besides, his collab with Swae Lee, 'Sunflower' was nominated for a top rap song, top collaboration, and top streaming song. He rocked so many categories!

Post Malone left behind Billie Eilish, the Jonas Brothers, Khalid, and Taylor Swift by winning the night's biggest award. "I'm honestly blown away by the love that everybody's shown to me," he expressed at his moving speech.

"To be able to reach out to people who might not have anybody to turn to and just be able to reach out and show everybody that they’re not alone and music can bring everybody together is absolutely incredible," he continued full of pride.

The moved musician was extremely grateful and surprised by his achievement. He finished the speech saying: "I just want to say thank you so very much ladies and gentlemen. I'm blown away, I'm floored. Thank you very, very, very much." You rock man!

After his speech, host Kelly Clarkson took a cart onstage holding the nine trophies that Malone won during the night, and they joked about how many they were.

We are really proud of this young artist winning such an important category. He totally deserves it because he seems to take his music seriously and as he said, this singer believes that music can help people to feel less lonely. Thank you, Post! Congrats! Which is your favorite song of his latest album?
