Billie Eilish was only a teenager when she became a rising star winning 5 Grammys in 2020 and now she has been nominated for 4 more trophies for 2021. However, the 63rd Award ceremony has been postponed until March 14th due to the pandemic. So while we wait for her to sweep the board again, keep reading as we reveal the rebel singer most interesting facts!
1) What neighborhood is Billie Eilish from?
Eilish is from the neighborhood of Highland Park, which is situated in the northeast part of LA, California. Could you believe that despite her fame she still lives there with her parents in the two-bedroom home she grew up in? Billie explained she lives in a normal neighborhood:
“People just have a different vision of how I was raised and that’s not correct. They think I’m just a little rich girl from LA."
Her parents sleep in the living room so Billie can have her own room and the second bedroom to record music. That legendary tiny bedroom is where she and her brother Finneas recorded many of her famous hits. However, her brother moved to live with his girlfriend Claudia Sulewski.
2) Who is Eilish’s brother?
Billie’s older brother is Finneas O’Connell. He is a 23-year-old singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor (he appeared in the TV series “Glee”) but he’s mostly known as Eilish’s creative collaborator.
The siblings write her songs together. Finneas produces the tracks, and, when Eilish goes on tour, he also plays instruments in his band. He likes to play the bass and keyboards.
He also performs as a solo artist under the stage name Finneas and he released his debut EP, “Blood Harmony” on October 4, 2019.
Eilish confessed that her brother is her best friend and they love each other so much because they can speak the same creative language.
3) What is Billie Eilish’s real hair color?
Billie Eilish’s hair is naturally blonde. However, she's dyed it many crazy colors over the years, shades of grey, blue, purple, white, though currently she is rocking electric green roots and black.
The singer has worn the signature acid green color hair since July 2019. On her driver's license her hair color is listed as "other."
However, Eilish promised that she is planning on changing her hair color when her Apple documentary "The World's a Little Blurry," is released on February 14th 2021 to mark the beginning of a new era in her successful music career.
Let's hope that at the 2021 Grammys ceremony Billie has a new hair color to celebrate her new Awards in the music industry!
