Rebel Wilson will play her first dramatic role on the big screen

The 40-year-old Australian actress has made us cry with laughter in movies like Pitch Perfect or Bridesmaids. Next year promises to make us cry with emotion in the film version of the play The Almond and the Seahorse. Keep reading to find out more.

Rebel made it official on Instagram.

In March 2021 the production of the film version of the drama The Almond and the Seahorse will begin.

It will be filmed in the UK and promises to thrill the audience.

                                                        

One of the things that's most surprising is being able to see Wilson in a dramatic role for the first time.

Janet Mc Teer, known for her role in Ozark will be starring in the film too.

The Isn't It Romantic actress, has been undergoing a year of renewal and challenges.

2020 was her year of health, and she achieved a radical image change.

The actress also found her love, 39-year-old businessman Jacob Busch.

The film will be co-directed by new-comer director Celyn Jones, who will be part of the cast reprising his role in the original stage play, and Oscar nominee for Changeling, Tom Stern.

The plot centers on two couples in which one of them suffered irreversible brain damage.

Each one had a different consequence but both couples face the harsh reality of radical change in their lives and their realities.

It is certainly a great challenge for this Aussie, but we're sure that she'll nail it.
