Are you overwhelmed by your new role as a parent? You're not the only one. It's normal to feel like a hermit. We give you 4 tips to help YOU get back on your social track.

  1. As insignificant or scary as it may seem try to go out with your baby even if it's just for a walk around the block. Being outdoors helps.
  2. Build a support network. You're not alone. Other parents have been through the same things. You can exchange sleeping techniques or even ask for advice.
  3. Have adult conversations. As funny as this may sound, going out with friends and talking about things other than your baby helps remind you of your own identity before becoming a parent.
  4. Self-care. Being selfish once in a while isn't always a bad thing. You have to take care of yourself. Whether that means going to the gym or catching a movie. Being a parent means doing things that make you happy as well as enjoying time with your baby.
