1. NBA legend Michael Jordan
learned to meditate when coach Phil Jackson asked mindfulness mentor George Mumford to work with the Chicago Bulls in 1990. According to Jackson, the basketball player needed to become a better leader.
2. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld
Known for his 1980s sitcom titled Seinfeld practices Transcendental Meditation for more 40 years. The star of Netflix's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" believes meditation helps people take things easy. He has said he owes "his career in television – and his good nights' sleep – to meditation."
3. Media mogul Oprah Winfrey
She started meditating in 2011 after she invited several meditation instructors to her company. The instructors would do guided meditations for the TV host and her staff in the mornings and after work.
