What exactly is Twice's Melody Project?

In February 2021, the latest Melody Ptojecty from the girl group Twice was released, with Dahyun and Chaeyoung starring in a fun music video for Rain's song "Switch To Me." But what exactly is this musical project? Read on to find out more.

  • Twice is a K-Pop girl group that was launched in 2016 by JYP Entertainment after deciding who the 9 members of the band would be through a television contest called "Sixteen".
  • Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu were the lucky ones chosen to form Twice, and together they have achieved a net worth of $35 million.
  • Twice is not only one of the most popular and wealthiest K-pop girl groups of their generation, but it also boasts one of the three strongest and most influential fandoms, the ONCEs.

It is precisely for the ONCE that JYP decided to create the Melody Project in 2016.

So that fans could see the musical abilities and talents of each of the nine Twice members separately or in duos.

Melody Project was created under the slogan that idols would perform original choreographies of covered songs by different artists, not only from the agency but also from international artists.

Chaeyoung has been a member of the Melody Project on two occasions, the most recent being with Dahyun in February 2021 with the remake of the song "Switch To me" originally released in December 2020 by Rain and Park Jin Young.

Other lucky ones to be part of this musical project were Mina, Sana, Nayeon, and Jihyo.

It is now the turn of the youngest of the band, Tzuyu.

Through the V-Live platform, the most beautiful face of Twice revealed that he will be releasing her Melody Project very soon but did not reveal what the chosen song would be.

Tzuyu from Twice.

The only clue Tzuyu gave to the ONCE was a wink. What is she referring to?

Fans have also been asking for the Melody Project of Momo, the group's main dancer.

While we wait for these releases let's enjoy Ariana Grande's "Love Is Everything" by Nayeon.
