BTS saved 2020! It was a tough year not just for the K-Pop band but also their fans. They couldn't see each other for a whole year. The tour was canceled! However, our Bangtan Boys kept their vibes flowing through with their incredible music. Wonder how BTS progressed through this year? Find the answer below!
RM, the leader of BTS, blessed us with Winter Flower at the beginning of 2020. We knew there was only comfort coming from them this year! In February, the band released their album, MOTS:7, with the greatest songs of all time; Black Swan and ON.
This was followed by Jungkook and Jimin's collaboration song with Lauv called 'Who'. We couldn't stop listening to it! And of course, how could we forget 'Sweet Night' by V. The biggest hit of the year!
May was the month for Suga to shine. The 27-year-old rapper released his mixtape D-2 with the title song 'Daechwita'. He also collaborated with IU on 'Eight' another hit of 2020. In June, the youngest member, Jungkook, prepared a gift for Army by releasing 'Still with you'.
He expressing how much he missed and loved Army. Oh, to be remembered by Jeon Jungkook. July was the month for the Japanese Army. BTS released their Japanese album Map of the Soul: the Journey. 'Stay Gold' was released as part of this album.
The Bangtan Boys went vintage for August. They released their hit song 'Dynamite' and It topped the Billboard Top 100 charts for weeks! This song got BTS their first Grammy nomination for Top Duo performance.
In September, Max released 'Blueberry Eyes', a song he collaborated on with Suga. The music video is the cutest thing ever! In October, we witnessed Jungkook cursing...in 'Savage Love Remix' The song also topped the Billboard Top 100 charts.
The boys dropped BE in November and blessed us with the most comforting album ever. It was the miracle we waited for in 2020. Life Goes On, the title track, topped Billboard 100, becoming the first-ever Korean song to achieve that! Check out the song here.
December was full of presents. The 28-year-old member, Jin, released 'Abyss' on his birthday. Jimin and V, the '95 liners, released a song each for Christmas. 'Christmas Love' and 'Snow Flower' are the perfect way to end 2020.
We are all thankful to BTS for providing joy and connectivity in this difficult year. They did indeed make it a better year after all.
