In times of pandemics, it is almost impossible to be able to celebrate a birthday the way we used to. South Korea is going through the third wave of COVID-19 and gatherings of more than four people are prohibited. Read on to find out the details of Kai's celebration for his birth.
The only crime that Kai committed was trying to celebrate his birthday with a small meeting to which he invited three friends.
During a live broadcast, the 24-year-old singer shared with his fans his little gathering through his social media and this ignited the controversy.
The government of South Korea has decreed that no more than four people can meet at the same time due to the third wave of COVID-19 that the country is experiencing.
Apparently, this does not mean that citizens can meet no matter what as long as there are only four people.
In fact, any type of meeting is strongly discouraged by the authorities.
The truth is that Kai didn't break any rules by having his close friends, Moongyu and Ravi from HOTSHOT and VIXX respectively.
The singer of "Mmmh" is very loved by fans of the genre and especially by all EXO-ls but even so, some thought that maybe he shouldn't have carried out the celebration.
We believe that it is very difficult for everyone to live in these times that run with so many restrictions and that perhaps we should give Kai a vote of confidence that he will surely have carried out the necessary sanitary measures to enjoy safely.
