The funny story of why BTS was banned from an event

The Idol Star Athletics Championship is a show that takes place annually in South Korea. It's an idol-only sports competition, but fans haven't seen BTS attend the event after 2017. Why were they banned? More on this below.

  • BTS is a 7-member band that debuted in 2013 under BigHit Entertainment.
  • They have a net worth of $450 million!
  • ISAC was only attended by BTS for the years of 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Since their first year of attending the event, BTS has been racking up sporting awards and medals left and right. But ever since their absence from ISAC, fans have been speculating there's more to their leave than just a busy schedule...

One of the rules of ISAC is the restriction of taking pictures and giving any spoilers before the show airs. And guess what our favourite band did? Took pictures and gave spoilers!

ARMYs couldn't help but laugh and participate along with their idols after seeing them break the rules set for the event. It's been theorized that BTS might have done this to rid themselves of the contract to attend ISAC every year. Smart move, boys!

I'm glad they stopped attending anyway since many idols get injured during the sports and we don't want to see the beloved group hurt when they could be doing concerts with ARMY instead!
