In December 2018, the Blackpink girls were awarded prize money of 20 million won by 'Elle Style Awards'. Being the angels that they are, they donated the amount to low-income and single-parent households in Korea. The girls stated that they want the youth to grow up happily and healthily.
2. The Blackpink girls donate 40 million won for the Goseong Wildfire
On April 5th, 2019 in Goseong, South Korea a house caught on fire. Due to poor crisis management, the fire spread due to strong winds in the area and turned into a wildfire. 40,000 people were forced to leave homes with 30 injured and 2 deaths.
On April 8th, 2019, the four members of Blackpink donated 10 million won to the Hope Bridge Association of National Disaster Relief.
3. Lisa donated 100,000 baht to flood victims in Thailand
On 19th September 2019, a province called Buriram in Thailand was affected by one of the worst floods due to the monsoon season. A Thai blogger named 'Koa' revealed that Lisa donated 100,000 baht to a fundraiser organized by the famous actor named Bin Bunluerit. Isn't she amazing?
It's great to see the girls raise awareness for climate change and donate to charity organizations as much as they can. I hope all the victims have recovered and that more celebrities are inspired to donate frequently too.
