The aespa girls once again surprised fans with a new milestone in their rising career. The Mys are in shock after the idols won the SBS Inkigayo show for the first time with their debut song “Black Mamba”. This is something that the group Girls Generation also achieved in 2007 and fans are wondering if the girls of aespa will follow the steps of the iconic SM Entertainment band. aespa continues to add titles to their K-pop career.
On this occasion they won the SBS' Inkigayo television program, that airs every Sunday and is watched by millions in Asia.
This program has live performances by the most important artists of the genre and each week chooses the most popular song which is voted by Internet users.
Karina, Ning Ning, Winter and Giselle are succeeding and their achievement is reminiscent of the iconic Girls Generation who debuted in 2007 under the management of SM as well as aespa.
Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun and Jessica (who left the group in 2014) despite having disbanded in 2017 was one of the most important K-pop groups ever.
In fact, in 2017, Billboard honored Girls Generation with the title of "Top K-pop Girl Group of the Past Decade".
In addition, they also broke the record of 100 million but with 5 songs: "I Got a Boy", "Gee", "The Boys", "Oh!" and "Mr Taxi".
aespa promises to follow the same path of success as its predecessors and for now they have been delivering.
