Hyundai x BTS
BTS has been working on various collaborations with Hyundai, the Korean car brand, since 2018. In 2018, the band announced that they would be the brand ambassadors for the new flagship SUV: The Palisade. The ‘Dark Selfie Challenge followed this,’ and the ‘Because of You’ campaign initiated on ‘World Earth Day’ to promote more sustainable Rarth for future generations. Recently, BTS revealed that they would be collaborating with Hyundai for ‘World Earth Day’ again.
McDonald’s x BTS
BTS and McDonald’s recently announced a collaboration on 20th April 2021 to give their fans a chance to get their hands on the BTS meal. Currently, the collaboration in the US will run from May 26, 2021, until June 20, 2021. McDonald's is collaborating with several music artists around the world by launching signature meals. Rapper Travis Scott and Latin singer J Balvin were also a part of their campaign.
All seven members Jin, RM, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, V, and Jimin participated on the promotional video.
The complete menu meal includes 10 pieces of Chicken McNuggets, fries (medium) and Coke. In the United States you can also get new sauces including sweet chili and Cajun, inspired by South Korean recipes. The employees at McDonald’s are wearing official McDonald’s x BTS 'Crew T-Shirts.” The BTS meal is already available in major cities across the globe.
Samsung x BTS
BTS announced its collaboration with Samsung on 10 March 2020. This announcement was marked by the release of a new Galaxy Phone. The Galaxy S20+ 5G BTS Edition has a light purple color that symbolizes BTS's love for their ARMY. Fans even received additional items like posters, buds, and limited edition lock screens when they bought the Galaxy S20+ 5G BTS Edition.
Louis Vuitton x BTS
On 23rd April 2021, Louis Vuitton announced BTS as their 'House Ambassadors'. This partnership seeks to “merge luxury and contemporary culture” said the artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection, Virgil Abloh. BTS also wore the brand at the Grammy Awards 2021. Louis Vuitton chose BTS as their newest Global Brand Ambassadors because they've been recognized as a positive influence and image by many organizations like UNICEF.
