Did you know that Key from SHINee was a magazine editor for ELLE Korea in 2016? Due to his amazing fashion sense, he had his separate column 'Key Story' in the magazine. SHINee was the first K-pop act along with G-Dragon to get a rank on the US Billboard chart in 2013. They ranked number 10 on the chart for their album 'The Misconceptions of Us trilogy.'.
It was a victorious moment, not only for the band but also for K-pop. Because the genre was not as popular back then as it is now. Isn't that amazing?

2) Dance Practice Trend

K-pop dance practice videos such as BTS' Butter dance video get millions of views on YouTube these days. But this trend was not there in South Korea since forever. SHINee was the one who started this trend by uploading their 'Replay' Dance practice video in 2008
They are the real trendsetters in K-pop!

3) Onew's High note in K-pop

The band's lead vocalist Onew has a melodious voice. His impressive singing skills are not limited to having a vocal range of two notes and three octaves only. He also holds the record of the longest high note in K-pop that is of 40 seconds. Woah, Onew's vocals are no joke!

4) Taemin's appearance in a British band's video

Back in 2011, Taemin was walking through the aisle of an airplane. Little did he know he was on camera, which was set for the shooting of a music video for the British rock band, One Night Only. The fans later spotted him in the video, and it made all of us laugh out loud. He is truly a star since forever!

5) Ban on SHINee's 'Ring Ding Dong'

The group's 2009 release, 'Ring Ding Dong' was banned initially due to the College Scholastic Aptitude Test (CSAT) in South Korea. According to the authorities, the song was too catchy that it can get stuck in students' minds. So to save students' from any distractions, the song got banned. Truly, SHINee is the favorite of everyone!
