Scream 5 has officially begun filming starring Neve Campbell again!

This news is music to the ears of fans of the terrifying Scream franchise. Filming has already started and the rest of the cast will blow your mind. Keep reading to find out everything.  

  • The first installment of Scream was released in December 1996 starring actress Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott.
  • Wes Craven directed the four films that make up the Scream franchise. He passed away in 2015.
  • The total budget for the 4 films was $118 million. The box office gross of $608.5 million.


The fans are crazy because not only we'll be able to see the 47-year-old actress covered in blood again and running away from the knife in her role as Sidney Prescott, but she will also be accompanied by the iconic actors of the franchise.

Courtney Cox returns as reporter Gale Riley and David Arquette as Officer Dewey Riley.

They both only appeared from Scream 3 and on but are a classic in the franchise.

They are also married! How cool is that?

Neve Campbell revealed in an interview with The Talk that she wasn't sure about reprising her role without the late Wes Craven.
