Hollywood stars' unity message on 9/11

September 11th is and will always be remembered as one of the most shocking days in world history.  Some of the most famous Hollywood figures have paid tribute to the victims and heroes of 2001 through their social media. Keep reading to find out more.  

  • On the morning of Tuesday 11th 2001 the world assisted to a coordinated attack to The United States of America.
  • At 8:45 a.m. an American Airlines flight crashed into the north tower of The World Trade Center in New York City.
  • A second plane impacted the south tower 18 minutes later, broadcasted on live television to the entire world.

There's no doubt that September 11th, 2001, was a dark and sad day. However, there's always a positive side to even the most negative things.

Every year America comes together to pay tribute to the thousands of victims and heroes who helped on such a painful day.

2020 has been a particularly peculiar year in which the world has been curiously united by a pandemic that is being fought through social distancing.

Far from separating, we have all come together to fight it. as well as today several Hollywood actors have joined under the hashtag never forget.


The actor from Guardians of the Galaxy, Chris Pratt paid tribute to this day in a post on his Instagram account urging the followers to always remember and honor the victims by remaining united to each other.

Successful actress Reese Witherspoon, always active on her social media, posted under the hashtag never forget, a scent full thought  to the families that loss their loved ones.

Mark Wahlberg's post remembers the heroes that bravely assisted the victims and their families.

The actor also urges the fans for unity.


These celebrities remind us that days like these are days to reflect on our values and be empathetic to each other. Today more than ever the world must be united.
