The oscar-winning director revealed that the filming of 'Avatar 2' has finished. The filmmaker confirmed this spectacular news to Arnold Schwarzenegger on his YouTube channel after the actor asked him about the status of the 'Avatar' saga during the 2020 Austrian World Summit, an event that seeks to raise awareness about the environment.

We can’t wait to see the sequel to 2009’s “Avatar”. We have huge expectations for the new movie! Cameron confirmed the film is now in post-production. Can you believe he is already shooting “Avatar 3” in New Zeland: “We’ve got about 10% left to go. We’re 100% complete on ‘Avatar 2’ and we’re sort of 95% complete with ‘Avatar 3’.”

Filming had to be stopped due to the world pandemic and resumed again in June. They lost four and a half months of production. Therefore, the “Titanic” director has been forced to delay the release date of the movie until December 16, 2022.
