The Sirtfood diet is based mostly on produce that is high in sirtuins which are basically plant-based proteins. Foods high in sirtuins are known as sirtfoods.
The first three days, are based on 1,000 calories only, consisting of 1 meal and two green juices. McKenzie Caldwell, women's nutrition and pregnancy dietary specialist, says that "1,000 calories per day is only appropriate for a child between the ages of 2 and 4".
