In view of the protests against police brutality in Washington, the President of the United States took refuge in a bunker deep underground. What is it and why it's used, in the video below.

The protocol dictates that the family closest to the president and his advisers must be transferred there in case of threat. The official name of this shelter is the Presidential Center for Emergency Operations and it was built for Franklin Delano Roosevelt during World War II.
