No need to go on a diet, just choose your food wisely! During lockdown, it can be easy to lose track of what you eat. Check out what the Queen of the Netherlands eat!
Based on what we've seen the queen eat on different events and occasions we can deduct that the royal monarch allows herself to indulge in certain foods. One example is the time she spoke at a school in 2012 about the importance of having a good breakfast. At the table was a typical Netherlands breakfast with bread, butter and Venz chocolate sprinkles.
While the queen was born in Argentina and lived in the city of Buenos Aires, she seems to have accustomed to the Dutch meals. However, the royal family doesn't hold back on trying new things. In 2017, on a trip to Italy they were seen trying fresh olives and mozzarella.
But the queen's favorite are the Argentinian 'cakes' known as 'alfajores'. They are made up of two cookies filled with dulce de leche and rolled in coconut. She even posted the recipe on her Instagram for her 49th birthday this year. "I bake them according to my mother's recipe, which I am pleased to share with you. So you can bake them yourself at home!"
Filling foods are high in volume and in proteins. High volume foods contain a lot of water or air, that's why they do a good job satiating you without adding calories. And foods high in protein are more filling than those that are high in carbs or fats.
