Mark Zuckerberg and Anthony Fauci

COVID-19 interview: Dr. Fauci and Facebook CEO Zuckerberg

The nation’s top infectious-disease expert, New Yorker Dr Anthony S. Fauci had an interview with Facebook CEO and celebrity, Mark Zuckerberg about the pandemic fight. Watch the video to see what was it all about.

  • They talked about the responsibility of the young generation during these times, the use of masks and the impact on minorities.
  • Zuckerberg criticized the Trump’s administration on the way they are handling this pandemic.
  • The United States is the most affected country in the world by coronavirus with over 137.000 deaths already.

Minorities like African Americans and Latinos have a greater risk of getting the virus, statistically speaking. Why? Because they don't have that many options to work from home, so they have a greater infection’s risk.

Also, because of their jobs, they tend to have more cardiovascular problems as well as obesity and lung diseases, that expose a greater death risk. This is a topic they need to address and not for the virus, but for the decades to come.

Finally, they both addressed the use of face mask as mandatory and stated it doesn't have harmful effects on health using it.

Zuckerberg highlighted Fauci's work amidst the fairly poor management by the current government compared to other countries.
