USA investigates if TikTok violated children's privacy

After the possible ban from the app in the whole country, two sources from the United States say that the Chinese company failed to comply the agreement where they were supposed to delete content from children under 13 years old, and this could have serious consequences. Read below for more. 

  • A lot of American politicians are worried that Chinese government asks this company to cooperate with secret services from the Chinese Communist Party
  •  India banned the app after the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said that Chinese apps were “stealing and surreptitiously transmitting users’ data in an unauthorized manner to servers which have locations outside India”.
  • Now, the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) are investigating possible crimes committed against children’s privacy.

A privacy deal from February 2019 has been breached, according to a member of the technology agency in Massachusetts. What exactly has the Chinese app failed to do?
