  • The American stand-up comedian had his first major TV role in CBS show 'Everybody Loves Raymond' as Robert Barone.
  • Allegations about The Ellen DeGeneres Show being a toxic environment comes after the host herself was subject to harsh criticism about her behavior.
Everybody Loves Raymond aired from 1996 to 2005

On Friday, July 31st Garrett tweeted about DeGeneres and said he knows more than one who has been treated badly by the TV host and comedian.

Earlier this year in March, YouTuber Nikkie de Jager, known as NikkieTutorials, said on a Dutch talk show that DeGeneres had been "cold and distant" during her time on the show. Then again in April, a Twitter thread soliciting stories about DeGeneres being "one of the meanest people alive" went viral, amassing over 2,000 responses.

The comedian and talk show host hasn't replied to Garrett's Twitter post. The Ellen DeGeneres Show is currently under investigation by Warner Bros and the WarnerMedia Group. DeGeneres sent an apology email to her staff members where she said "I told everyone in our first meeting that The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be a place of happiness. Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry".
