Actress Emma Corrin, 24, who plays the role of Diana in “The Crown” upcoming fourth season is going to take out your breath away with her amazing resemblance to the beautiful late princess in her gorgeous bridal outfit. “I walked out and everyone went completely silent. More than anything else I wear in the series, it’s so … it’s her.”
A Netflix trailer gave us a glimpse of the incredible wedding dress. It was designed by Amy Robert, Emmy award-winning costume designer, who wanted to capture the spirit and glamorous style of David & Elizabeth Emanuel’s original royal dress, though it’s not an exact replica.
The memorable original gown was made of ivory silk taffeta and embellished with lace, hand embroidery sequins and 10,000 pearls. The flowing 25-foot train was made of ivory taffeta and antique lace. In fact, the something borrowed was the lace that had belonged to Queen Mary. Diana also topped her fairy tale bridal look with a stunning Spencer family heirloom tiara.
