"The Beatles" famous photographer, Fiona Adams dies at 84

Adams was the one to capture the famous image of the 4 musicians jumping in the air in 1963. The photo appeared in Boyfriend magazine and used on the record sleeve of the Twist and Shout EP. Enjoy the music video below!

  • Fiona Adams photographed many rock stars like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones.
  • Adams photographed many music stars in the 60s before turning to travel photography. She later married and had 2 children.

The Beatles' music never gets old. The song Twist and Shout has been covered by many artists but one of the most popular versions is that of The Beatles.

 According to National Portrait Gallery the iconic photo of the Twist and Shout EP is "the one that defined their early look". The photo was shot at an abandoned area near Euston station, one of London's major railways and underground stations.

Adams had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February and died in a hospice on Guernsey,  an island in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy, on June 26th.
