Record producer Vince Valholla, who shared the news on Twitter, had employed Roche in 2011 as Vice president of artists and repertoire (A&R) for his company. Demitra was known as "Miami Maverick" in the reality show.
"I’m heartbroken by the news of her passing," said Valholla. "We lost a beautiful soul," he added in another tweet. He said her death came "out of the blue".
Valholla had praised Roche at the time he hired her. "She is a constant source of credible music knowledge as well as a trusted friend and colleague”. "I’m confident she will continue to be an invaluable asset to the Valholla empire".
