Popular 80s sitcom Who's the Boss will have a reboot

Actor Tony Danza confirmed that a reboot of the ABC sitcom will have a reboot. Check it out!

  • The American show aired from 1984 to 1992 and had 8 seasons.
  • Tony Danza was Tony Micelli on the show. A former major league baseball player who ends up working as a live-in housekeeper for a divorced advertising executive, played by Judith Light.
  • Tony Danza's daughter in the show is played by Alyssa Milano.

On Tuesday, August 4th both Danza and Milano posted on social media about the show's revival. Danza posted: "Very excited to bring Who's The Boss back to television! #whostheboss". 

Milano posted on Twitter how excited she is about the show's return. The actress and activist wrote: "I’ve wanted to share this for so long and now I can! We feel the time is right to tell the story of where these amazing characters are today. Can’t wait to share their stories with you. So happy".

Danza and Milano play father and daughter in the show

The series is being developed at Sony Pictures Television, but no network has been announced yet. The new show is presented as a sequel to the original and takes place 30 years after. Milano's role will be of a single mother who lives in the same house the original series was set in. The reboot will takle the same issues: generational differences and parenting methods.
