Model Gisele Bündchen turns 40 and wants to plant 40K trees

The Brazilian model has been the highest-paid in the world since 2001. She turns 40 on July 20th and wants to give back to Mother Earth by planting 40,000 trees. The businesswoman has stayed busy throughout the years. Check out the video for more on the supermodel.

  • The model has been planting trees for different projects for years, "I feel that this is the best way I know to give back to Mother Earth" she said.
  • The supermodel has a net worth of $360 million while her husband quarterback Tom Brady $180 million.

The Brazilian model is an environmental activist. She has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program since 2009. The supermodel was planning on travelling to Brazil to plant trees but the ongoing coronavirus pandemic put the trip on hold. 'This year, to celebrate my birthday, my family and I had planned to plant trees in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil but, as we all know, that is not possible right now.' 

She convinced her family and friends to help her reach her 40,000 birthday goal.

To encourage people to plant a treee Bündchen shared her webpage to donate. In Vogue's June/July issue the model talked about how COVID-19 isolation had affected her. She said "I feel this is a very important time to go inward and reflect on what is most important". She has been doing a lot of meditation and yoga. 

Gisele and Tom met on a blind date in 2006 and married three years later.

Bündchen and American Football player Tom Brady moved to Miami, Florida with their two children. The quarterback switched teams from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The couple met in 2006 through a friend.
