Actor Mel Gibson had tested positive for coronavirus in April and had been hospitalized in Los Angeles for a week. Read the article to find out how he recovered.
Gibson is not only known for his acting but also for producing and directing both film and television. In April the Lethal Weapon actor was hospitalized in Los Angeles and treated with the drug Remdesivir. According to an article published in May the drug does not cure coronavirus but it may help speed up recovery.
The Hollywood actor has tested negative for the virus many times after his treatment and positive for the antibodies.
The drug, Remdesivir, was originally developed to treat Ebola and while it hasn't been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), it has been given emergency-use authorization to treat COVID-19 patients.
