Megan Fox clarifies she was never harassed by director Michael Bay

Recently an interview of the Transformers' actress Megan Fox, resurfaced. The interview was from 2009 with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel where Fox describes a scene as an extra in the movie Bad Boys II. She had just turned 15 years old and had to dance in a bikini under a waterfall. This was seen as a way of stereotyping women as a sensual object.

  • In a recent Instagram post the actress defended Bay and said she had never been "preyed upon" by the director. Fox wanted to clarify details that she thought had been lost in the retelling of the story.
  • People also referred to when Steven Spielberg, executive producer in Transformers, fired Fox for comparing Bay to Hitler. This incident was also categorized as an assault towards the young actress, to which Fox replied in a later interview that she said was simply just too self-righteous to recognize a simple apology would have solved the issue

Megan Fox wrote on Instagram: "Please hear me when I thank you for your support but these specific instances were inconsequential in a long and arduous journey along which I have endured some genuinely harrowing experiences in a ruthlessly misogynistic industry".
