TV personality has finally spoken about her husband Kanye West and the latest incidents regarding the rapper. Check it out below!
Kim Kardashian breaks the silence three days after her husband's presidential speech in South Carolina. She addressed the musician's mental health and said his bipolar disorder sometimes affects his actions. She said "those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words some times do not align with his intentions."
Kim also said her husband can be affected by the pressures of being an artist and a black man, on top of experiencing the painful loss of his mother. Kardashian opened up because she feels like she should address the issue due to "the stigma and misconceptions about mental health."
Kanye spoke with talk show host David Letterman in 2019 about an involuntary psychiatric hold he underwent in 2016. (Read more about it in a previous post.) The rapper said "They have this moment where they put you, they handcuff you, they drug you, they put you on the bed, and they separate you from everyone you know". Perhaps this is why West doesn't take medication, to which Kim says she is somewhat powerless unless he is willing to seek help himself. "The individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try."
