The American actress, producer and director talks about her role in the movie adaptation of best-selling book The Secret. Check it out below.

  • The film stars Katie Holmes, Josh Lucas, Jerry O'Connell, and Celia Weston.
  • It was released on Friday, July 31st, 2020 through video on demand by Roadside Attractions and Gravitas Ventures.

The Secret is based on the premise that thoughts can change your life. In the film Holmes portrays Miranda Wells, a widow with three children who struggles to be there for her family. Katie took the opportunity to reflect on her own life during the recent coronavirus pandemic and how she has spent time with her 14-year-old daughter Suri. "This lockdown has had a lot of silver linings," said the actress.

The Dawson's Creek actress really enjoyed her role. The character portrayed by Holmes has to struggle to provide both financially and emotionally for her family. You never see the character give up. "To watch this character go from that to having hope and believing, I think is really powerful to see," she notes.

"Hopefully people feel good watching it and walk away having a renewed sense of letting go and letting things happen and seeing the good in things that happen" she said.
