Kanye West's clothing brand approved for government loan

The billionaire's clothing brand Yeezy has been approved for the 'Paycheck Protection Programme' (PPP). Kanye's company will receive between $2 and $5 million which will reportedly save around 106 jobs.

  • Other fashion and entertainment companies have also been approved, among them is filmmaker Francis Coppola’s company Francis Ford Coppola Presents, which is a lifestyle brand that markets goods from companies he owns such as wine and films.
  • To better understand how this program works and who are eligible check out the video below.

The PPP program that the US government started is meant to aid employees and workers from companies and non-profit organizations that have been affected by the pandemic. Kanye West's company Yeezy had an estimate of $1.3 billion income excess, which makes his $2 to $5 million loan questionable.
