Serendipity brand is actually a company that was inspired by Stephen Bruce’s famous restaurant Serendipity 3 located in New York City. The restaurant and it's assets were sold in 2018 and Mark Smolin is the new CEO of the 64 years od eatery. 

The new owner introduced it's own line of ice creams back in February 2019. Now the widely known celebrity Selena Gomez has announced that she has also invested in the brand. She has a personal flavor at serendipity that she named cookies and cream remix. The singer expressed how she has a deep connection with the brand. 

Gomez captioned the video “I grew up going to the iconic seredipity 3 restaurant, so I couldn’t be more excited to join the ownership team.” The singer paid a tribute to the k-pop Blackpink girl group by creating a pink vanilla ice cream as she has a collaboration video coming with the band in a few days that is also named as Ice Cream. It’s surprising how both of Selena’s upcoming projects are related to Ice Cream.
