The former Disney star recently joined the site OnlyFans and said she is using it as research for a new movie she’s making with indie filmmaker, Sean Baker, who has denied any involvement. Scroll down for more information.
The actress announced she was joining OnlyFans and that she would be making a film with her friend indie filmmaker, Sean Baker. She explained that the film will target OnlyFans ins and outs, and what it can eventually do to its users. Apparently not knowing "the works" of the site can deeply affect its users. Thorne is receiving major backlash for charging $200 for "nude" photos when she actually is not nude. This made other people who live off of the site by posting pornographic content very mad.
Indie Filmmaker Sean Baker also spoke out after Bella's backlash. He stated that he has no connection to the film Bella spoke about. Baker posted on Twitter on August 28th and made it clear that Thorne's allegations are false.
According to Baker, he spoke with Thorne earlier in August, and discussed a potential project that would “focus on her life and the circumstances leading to her joining OnlyFans.” However, he also advised Thorne and her team to consult with people who make a living on OnlyFans by selling pornographic content as to not hurt the industry. "I am an ally and have literally devoted my career to tell stories that remove stigma and normalize lifestyles that are under attack. I would never do anything that could possibly hurt the community. So please know that this news is not correct.” Thorne has not commented on Bakers statement.
