Djokovic broke the silence after his tournament scandal

Serbian media outlet Telegraf published some statements of the tennis player who said he was furious at the criticism he received from the tennis world and his colleagues

  • The current #1 of the world organized a tennis tournament called Adria Tour in Serbia, Croacia, Montenegro y Bosnia-Herzegovina with players like German Alexander Zverev, Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov and Austrian Dominic Thiem.

  • After the exhibition tournament, that hosted also friendly soccer and basketball matches, some COVID-19 new cases were confirmed.   

People around the world criticized the event that didn't apply social distancing measures, with players hugging with fans and partying in close door environments without any t-shirt on. 

The Serbian never respected the pandemic saying he would refuse a vaccine and kept up his life as if nothing was happening. Himself and his wife Jelena were confirmed positive cases after the tennis exhibition. 

"I think there's something else behind the criticism, like there's an agenda, like it's a witch hunt". Despite his intentions were good, he didn't respect any of the World Health Organization indications concerning the virus and now he needs to attain the consequences.
