Bryan Spears talks about his sister's conservatorship the day her case goes back to court in Los Angeles. Listen to the full podcast with Drew Plotkin below.
Bryan Spears said Britney has always wanted to get out of the conservatorship she has been living under since 2008 yet admits doing so has been "a great thing for our family." The pop star had gone through many mental breakdowns and her family finally made the hard decision to take control over the singers finances. The situation has been controversial and fans have speculated about it being a way to manipulate and control Spears.
The pop icon's little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, posted about mental health on Instagram this week defending Britney. She wrote "If you can’t offer understanding or sympathy, offer your silence”. Fans showed their support on Thursday outside the Los Angeles court where her hearing took place. Britney has made no comments.
