Ten years after the tragic death of Dan Gordon-Levitt, his brother, famous actor from popular 90s TV series 3rd Rock from the Sun pays tribute to what would have been his 46th birthday. Watch a 2010 tribute below.
Dan Gordon-Levitt was 36-years-old when he died. He was found at his home unresponsive and passed away at the hospital. Together with his brother Joseph, they started the creative platform HITRecord. On Monday, July 27th Joseph posted on Twitter his tribute.
HitRecord was launched in 2005 and is a space for creative collaboration. The 500 Days of Summer actor encouraged his followers to post stories, art, photos, etc. regarding his late brother. The actor wants there to be a specific section of HitRecord which is solely dedicated to his brother's legacy.
'So since today, July 27th, is his birthday, I thought it'd be a good day to start it,' wrote Joseph. Collaborations can already be seen on the site.
Joseph Gordon-Levit also said he might one day turn all that information and content on his brother into a book or even a documentary. Dan Gordon-Levitt's cause of death was never confirmed but it is believed he died of an accidental drug overdose.
