Donald Trump suggests Biden take a cognitive test because "something's going on, and I say this with respect,” said the president. Both candidates have been questioned about their cognitive capabilities. Check out their responses and the experts' opinion on the matter below.
Trump says he has good memory and explained what the test entitled. "It's like you'll go: Person, woman, man, camera, TV. So they say, ‘Could you repeat that?' So I said, ‘Yeah. So it's person, woman, man, camera, TV’". The president said the first questions were easy and then it got a bit harder. While it's unclear when exactly he took the test Dr. Ronny Jackson, the president's physician up until 2018, said that that year the president had asked to take the Montreal Cognitive Assessment and passed it "with flying colors".
The president has said he against coronavirus testing but is still willing to continue with it. The White House recently released a summary of the president's physical examination from last month, and while it examined the basic health metrics it was not a cognitive test.
