Sporting CP is one of the country's biggest teams. Its president, Frederico Varandas says football is like a religion. But with sports on hold due to coronavirus, Varandas through he'd make himself useful as a medic once again.

Frederico Varandas was a doctor before becoming the club's president. He studied in Lisbon and graduated in military medicine. He specializes in sports and is also a decorated army captain.
He was the team's head doctor for 7 years until in 2018 he became president.
Varandas is assisting at Lisbon’s military hospital emergency room evaluating patients as they arrive.
