2020 has been a year of great success for Megan Thee Stallion. From her collab with Beyonce for their song ‘Savage’ to teaming up with Cardi B for ‘WAP,’ almost every song made it to the Billboard hot 100.
Now, as we entered into the New Year, the 25-year-old is all set to make new records. It is evident from her successful first week of the year where she has 2 of her songs on the Billboard’s Top Triller US chart. The list features her song Cry Baby (ft. DaBaby) on number 1 and Body, the singer’s hit single, on number 3.
Not just that, according to radio broadcaster, Mike Adam, music video ‘WAP’ released in collaboration with Cardi B will receive a diamond certification by RIAA in late 2021. The certificate is awarded to those albums that have gone platinum 10 times.
The title is the rarest one in the American history and has only been awarded to 44 singers till now. Among many other music videos to receive the certification, Sicko Mode by Travis Scott, Party in The U.S.A by Miley Cyrus, and the viral children poem Baby Shark are also in the list.
Though the Twitter fans assume that it won’t take more than 3 months to gain the title since the song has already gained 7 platinum.
We hope it’s just a start of an incredible year for Megan Thee Stallion and she will keep achieving incredible milestones this year around as well.
