After the controversies which involved cannibalism and rape fantasies, Lionsgate approved Armie Hammer's wish to step out of the next action comedy movie 'Shotgun wedding'. Want to know everything about it? Scroll down!
The 'Call Me By Your Name' actor was involved in some difficult controversies and his participation in the movie 'Shotgun wedding' was canceled (to read everything about the movie click here). The 34-year-old actor is publicly accused of having rape fantasies and cannibalism.
As our source told us, the star sent some DM to a follower and the source decided to finally reveal everything to the media. Things like 'cutting toes' appeared all the time as well as explicit rape accusations. The messages are still being reviewed and analyzed.
The production of the film already had an imminent date. Although they didn't make it public as when the shooting was meant to begin they did have a set date, and it was pretty close. A Lionsgate spokesman even said
'Given the imminent start date of Shotgun Wedding, Armie has requested to step away from the film, and we support him in his decision'.
Of course, the actor defended himself. The blonde star told 'The Hollywood Reporter': 'I’m not responding to these bullshit claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic. Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.'
We will have to wait and see what the specialists resolve about the DM. In the meantime, surely another name will appear to costar 'Shotgun wedding' with Jennifer Lopez. Ryan Reynolds was going to actually costar the movie, but in the end, he decided to move aside and leave Hammer in his place. Maybe, it's time for him to finally star in the film. Probably, it was just what was meant to be. JLO+Ryan Reynolds.
