We love Finneas' new single “American Cliché” it’s reminiscent of the rhythms of jazz music from the 20s mixed with 2021’s coolest, cutting-edge pop.
In fact, the artist chose an image for the songs’ cover of an art deco style 1920s cafe vintage poster that looks perfect.
The artwork is by Luke Fenstemaker. Finneas posted an image on his Instagram, the artist also create the iconic cover on his single “Another Year”.
We love the new song because it stands out from his previous tracks because of the catchy, jazzy melody. Also, Finneas touched our hearts with his exquisite romantic lyrics.
“In my arms, they’ll have to bury us together because I'm never gonna let you go”
Finneas is a skillful song teller depicting a cinematic scene in a French café where he is the typical American cliché longing for his beautiful lover, melancholically wondering what is Paris if he’s alone.
“American Cliché” also follows on from Finneas’ recent work as a producer on sister Billie Eilish‘s “Lo Vas A Olvidar”, her bilingual collaboration with Spanish star Rosalía.
In 2020 the musician released several of his own solo works, including the hits “Can’t Wait To Be Dead” and “What They’ll Say About Us.”
