DJ and producer Sophie dies in tragic accident

Avant-pop singer and producer Sophie passed away at age 34 on January 30th, 2021, from an unfortunate accident. Continue reading to know more about her life and the cause of her death.

The world is in mourning on January 30th, 2021, as one of the great icons of avant-pop passed away this morning around 4 a.m.

The cause of death was an unfortunate accident in Athens, where the 34-year-old singer, producer, and DJ was living.

Apparently and according to her record label, Transgressive, the accident was due to a slip by the artist while she was trying to climb to have a clearer view of the full moon.

Unfortunately, the accident had a fatal outcome depriving the world of everything the female activist had to offer.

Sophie was an icon for the trans community and an inspiration to all activists and musicians around the world because of the message that she was trying to deliver through her art.

Sophie broke all the barriers and preconceptions imposed by society and celebrated love in its purest expression.

The music producer also worked with big names in the industry such as Madonna on the song "Bitch, I'm Madonna"


and in 2019 received a nomination for the Grammy Awards for best electro-dance album with "Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides of 2018".
